By using Mahjong Academy you agree to these terms, in plain language: the site is a free educational reference and game, provided as-is.
The rules content summarizes published American and Chinese mahjong rule sources and is checked carefully, but house rules vary and the annual card governs real play — where this site and your table disagree, your table wins. Nothing here is gambling advice; the scoring calculator’s stake selector reflects whatever your group has already agreed to play for.
The solitaire game and calculator are provided without warranty of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular game night. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for any loss arising from use of the site: a miscalculated pot, a rules dispute that outlives dinner, or a solitaire board that refuses to be cleared. Tools this simple are best verified the old way — against your own card and your own table.
You may quote, link to and print pages freely for your game group (attribution appreciated); bulk reproduction of the site or rehosting the game is not permitted without written permission. All original diagrams, text and code are the property of the site’s operators.
These terms may be updated; the effective date is shown in the footer. Questions: the contact page.
